Summer time!!!!

Its been a while since I've written a blog, but thought so much has been happening thought it best I do a wee up-date..... if your interested ; )

I've added some new chairs to our shop with more of our own special products going to be getting added. If you follow me on social media you will know that I love bright colours and colourful fabrics so keep an eye out if you looking for something that little bit different for your home.

We have put some of our furniture pieces in a pop up shop up at the gorgeous Bowling Harbour they are supporting local makers and running some classes through the summer so definitely worth a visit you can check them out through there Instagram & Facebook - Made in West Dunbartonshire.

Now on the website we are offering you a chance to come along to one of our own classes at our workshop you can check them out here . Over two days learning how to make your own bespoke footstool from scratch - What would you go for ? Something bright and bold or something to fit in with your home decor.... All materials are provided we only ask you bring 1m of fabric of your choice just so you leave with an unique footstool to you.

We have up-dated and added some more pictures of our completed jobs and are always adding new stock cause if you know me then you know we can't say no to furniture. So if you are ever looking for something for your home have a look see if there's anything you think would look awesome in your home. Its been a while!!

Hello its been a while : )

So we are in to the second month of 2018 after what felt like 3 months of January, and looking through my blog posts its been four months since I have written a blog : (

Although that's gonna change this year as I am determined to get at least one blog done per month just to keep you updated in all that is happening at Turnstyle13 I say you all thanks for reading mum (High five*).

Well its been a busy start to the year with a few jobs in the workshop as well as a few sales. Happy days : ) With more of our furniture getting the finishing touches and added to the shop very soon. So if you are looking for a piece of furniture that is a little different, a little unique, a little special then stay tuned and watch this space as these will be a one off and once they are gone they are gone!!!

I have also updated the stock page, instead of adding new pieces, I have took some away. I decided to do this as I really want to focus on turning these pieces of furniture into my magical creations. I have also been in talks with some amazing ladies about collaborations one of these ladies is the beautiful talented textile designer Beth Farmer, from B-line studios. We both have similar ideas on colours and styles. Exciting times ahead.

So this year my sister got me a bullet journal to get my life and business more organised, all I'm gonna say is wow!! if you look up some bullet journal videos or follow some bullet journal hashtags on Instagram they are amazing. But it does make your OCD and creativity go through the roof. So 2018 its definitely my year to be getting s**t done and shine.

Hello Autumn : )

Hello!!

I can't believe its September were has this year went!!! Autumn is here Yeah!! this is my favourite season with the best stuff coming up Halloween, Guy Fawkes and my wedding anniversary : ) 

So I've started working on some of my own pieces of furniture with some to be added to my etsy shop over next few weeks, I have started with this lovely retro 50's style chair, I've picked the fabric for this pieces (actually picked months ago, can't help myself) So!! I chose orange woolen fabric from Bute but ironically its called pumpkin so picked the perfect season for it.

I've also just added our little bespoke footstools to the etsy shop yeah!!! you can click on the shop here on the website. Each one is different they can also be customised to suit your colour and interior taste. I'm drawn to bright colours and funky fabrics so I always like to clash colours. What would you go for?

As its Glasgow, that we live in you can't predict the weather its sunny with rain with a mixture of tropical storms, hoping over the next two weeks weather permitting that I can get down to our storage container, to up-dated the website stock page of all the new vintage pieces that we have got. Its been a while

Hello!! It has been a while :) and omg!!! so much has been happening at turnstyle13 HQ.

If you follow my social media pages, you will have seen that I have taken the leap of faith and gone self employed eeekk!!. (its not fully sunk in yet) Its something that I've been wanting to do for a long time and life is to short not to take risks and go for it... So I did.

I've not been keeping this blog and website up to date so that's all going to change, with a weekly blog on whats been happening, up-dated furniture that will be for sale and new stock that will be getting a make-over by us or maybe you if you see something you like, new products added to the shop with an offer of 10% off when you sign up to our mailing list - this will be to keep you updated with our blog and the first to know of any offers or new furniture available to buy.

Footstools from the Drygate - Urbanmarket 20th Aug 2017

We have been busy over the past few months with quite a few jobs for our lovely customers, and we recently just did our first market in a while with our very own bespoke footstools, these will be getting added to our shop section for you to browse and buy, we are also considering starting up our own classes in making your own personalised footstools. Hello February

I'm back....Hola!!!

So I've not been keeping this blog up to date its been busy few months with work, Christmas and some more excuses to follow ; ).

Though I have been busy recently just finishing four dining chairs for a lovely wee customer, these were re-stuffed with extra support added. I've also been working on a few jobs for another wonderful customer can't say to much yet pictures will be uploaded to my social media pages this week so stay tuned for those.

So I've also started making cushions and lampshades and soon to be some funky little footstools, these will be available to buy in my online shop so stay tuned.

Let me introduce myself!!

Hola!

I'm back : ) I've been busy recently and apologies for not keep my blog up to date.

So I never put pictures of myself on social media but thought its time to show you who Turnstyle13 is....

I've set up my workshop and love love love it; its such an amazing building. I recently had a week off from my other job and spent everyday there, my partner was coming down just so he could see me.

In my last blog I spoke about the four country style kitchen chairs; well they are finished and were delivered to my lovely customer on Monday morning with each chair a different colour Blue, Green, Pink and orange. You can see pictures of these on my Instagram and Facebook pages.

This week I'm finishing a retro dining table for a lovely customer, the table is being re-stained and finished with a little polish and some wax. Also currently working on six dining chairs to be colour matched and french polished.

For my own pieces I've continued to work on my little cocktail chair, with preview photos being uploaded to my social media pages, cant wait to show you the finished piece. Still working on an online shop hopefully be opened before Christmas, aaahhhh!!! can't believe its nearly here.

Busy, busy, busy!!!

Hello folks,

Its been a bit busy for me (not complaining) : )

This week i got the keys, and moved into a new workshop aaaahhhh!!! excited                              still got a bit sort out and move about so should be settled in for Saturday.

Got two jobs to start this week for two lovely customers; the first is four country style dining chairs can't wait to show you what these will look like got some amazing bright colours for these. The second is a vintage dining table that's in need of some TLC and a new colour so this will be stripped back.

The cocktail chair is coming along nicely, finished the piping and buttons... just to finish applying the fabric, shes going to be a little cracker.

I picked up some more stock last week a little retro chest of drawers and a stunning vinyl to go with it, also a vintage dressing table got lots of ideas for this piece stay tuned for that.

Hello,

Welcome to my first blog, I will try to keep them short but anyone who knows me knows I can talk, so this might be hard.
